Katalox Light Filter As An Advanced Filtration Media

Iron removal Katalox Light Filter Media is the perfect replacement or alternative media for Manganese Dioxide Media, such as Filox, Pyrolox. The whole bag of Katalox light filter media we manufacture is weighted 66 lbs/Ft3; we also have half bags. Besides, we pack our products in Fleck 2510 Air Injection Iron Removal Systems. Our Katalox Light advanced filter media removes Manganese, Arsenic, H2S, Iron, and other heavy metals without chlorine or potassium permanganate (KMnO4).

Our Katalox light media is prepared using Zeosorb (pure and natural Aluminosilicate microcrystalline mineral). This Zeosorb is treated with a special saturation process and then Manganese Dioxide (MnO2) coats it to filter out the 2-3 micron particles. The Manganese Dioxide (MnO2) coating behaves as a protective agent for the saturated substance.

The granules or pores have an angular shape, and seem rough which enable the granules to filter down water to 2-3 microns. High porosity and rough surface provide large surface area for maximum adsorption, reducing dirt, suspended solids, and silt significantly. Its structure facilitates less pressure loss and flow rates, where the combination of extensive bed loading and lower back washes periodically.
