Industrial Wastewater Treatment – City of Industry, CA
In the manufacturing process, we heat the raw carbon to 1000 degrees Celsius in the absence of oxygen. It helps bake all the impurities from the carbon. To produce activated carbon, the material is then heated up to 1600 degrees Celsius. The steam leaves granules within the carbon filled with cracks and pores, allowing them to store/adsorb contaminants and chemicals in a large amount.
Our Manufactured Activated Carbon Filtration System Works Excellently
The carbon filter system also acts as a catalyst that alters the chemical structure and composition of chemicals and contaminants. Activated carbon is the epitome for eliminating organic and inorganic compounds and elements, such as chlorine, pesticides, THMs like chloroform, and various VOCs, including components of gasoline, industrial cleaners, and other solvents.
What is a Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) Water Filter System?
What Do GAC Water Filters Remove?
- VOCs
- Hydrogen sulfide
- Nitrates, pesticides
- And much more
Municipal water filtration plants use disinfectants, such as chloramine and chlorine, for treating water before supply. However, these disinfectants leave an odor in drinking water and also change the taste. This is where Karbonous plays its role, intruding GAC filter systems that improve taste and remove odor. This property of Granular Activated Carbon makes it commonly used in RO (Reverse Osmosis) systems.
The granular activated carbon water filter consists of loose carbon granules so that the water can easily flow freely through it. Note, high value of porosity enables the water to flow or pass more than carbon block filters. Subsequently, GAC filters also have high adsorption properties to eliminate chemicals, such as hydrogen sulfide, chlorine, lead, and much more.
Benefits of Activated Carbon Filtration System in Industrial Applications
Are you looking for high-quality portable and industrial water purification or filtration system? Karbonous is the right choice. Don’t wait any longer and call us right away to place your order.
Do you use adsorption process to remove unwanted substances?
Yes. Karbonous Inc uses the Adsorption process to eliminate chemicals and contaminants in the filtration. The surface of activated carbon strongly binds the contaminants so that it doesn’t exhibit the pollutants out of the pores of the activated carbon.
Although Chlorine and Chloramine are not toxic to humans, why are these disinfectants not the best option for water treatment?
Chlorine and Chloramine are certainly not good suitable for water treatment since they have unpleasant odor and taste. However, Karbonous INC offers GAC (Granular Activated Carbon) filter systems that remove the unpleasant odor and normalize the taste.
